Effective 20 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-20-v1
Privacy Policy
This draft explains the information Advocate Diary handles to provide the service. Have it reviewed and complete the operator details before accepting real customers.
1. Information handled
Account data may include name, email, phone and login/session information. Practice data may include client contact details, case names and numbers, CNRs, parties, courts, hearing dates, notes, uploaded documents, bills, payment records and reminders. Support messages and technical logs may also be processed.
2. How information is used
Information is used to provide and secure accounts, display practice records, enforce plan limits, process subscription payments, create receipts, deliver configured notifications, respond to support requests, maintain backups and improve reliability. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider; Advocate Diary stores payment status and reference details needed for records.
3. Client and case confidentiality
You should upload client or case information only when authorized to do so. Access controls are intended to separate advocate accounts and team access, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. You remain responsible for access granted to your team and for safeguarding exported or downloaded copies.
4. Service providers and sharing
Information may be processed by infrastructure, email, payment, storage and support providers configured to operate the service. It may be disclosed when legally required, to protect users or the service, or at your direction. Advocate Diary does not sell case or client data. External Legal Library links take you to third-party sites governed by their own privacy terms.
5. Storage and retention
Records are retained while an account is active and as needed for service operation, payment records, security, backups and legal obligations. Deleted data may remain in backups until those backups rotate. Retention periods and data-region details must be confirmed by the operator before production launch.
6. Your choices and requests
You can update account details in Profile and manage case/client records in the app. For access, correction, export or deletion requests, contact the administrator through Support. Requests may be limited where records must be retained for security, billing, backup or legal reasons.
7. Cookies and security
The service uses essential session, security and application storage mechanisms to authenticate users and maintain service operation. Do not share passwords. Report suspected account access to the administrator promptly.
8. Updates and contact
This policy may be updated as the service changes. The version accepted at signup is recorded with the account. For privacy requests, use the contact details shown on the Support page.
